I began by finding out from my client what her needs were. This helped me make some suggestions on how to achieve them.
The hair at the nape of the neck was cut into short layers.
I worked my way up the back and sides cutting along the natural shape of the head.
The top section of the hair was cut into a short choppy shape but slightly longer than the sides and back. Texture was achieved through the scissor-point cutting technique. This gives the pixie cut a softer, more natural look.
For the perimeter and around the ears I angled my scissors following the contours of the head.
Finally, the hair was then mainly blast dried and a brush was used to guide the hair in the desired direction. I applied a small amount of wax to break up and give texture to the pixie cut
